The CRONO-o-meter is a free, open-source tool, which is really handy for checking your diet. I wouldn’t recommend becoming a slave to it, but if you’re trying to make your diet as healthful as possible, and/or trying to lose weight, this little tool is an excellent addition to your arsenal.
What you do is enter everything you eat during the day. The CRON-o-meter then calculates your calories and the vitamin and mineral content of your foods. You can see at a glance whether or not you are getting your full quota of vitamins and minerals (and remember, it is always best to get these from your diet rather than a pill).

The CRON-o-meter was designed especially for people on calorie restricted diets, but it is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to monitor how much they are eating, and whether or not they are getting the nutrients their body needs. There are thousands of foods in the database, and you can add your own.
